The Art of Tufting
BETWEEN TRADITION AND MODERNITY
Tufting is a textile technique used to create rugs and tufted pieces using a tufting gun. Each thread is inserted into a stretched canvas, forming loops or cut thread to create different textures and depths.
The creative stages are meticulous. I begin by preparing the design on a computer, then I project the drawing onto the stretched canvas. I then paint with threads using the tufting gun. Once finished, I move on to gluing the back to solidify the work. Finally, we move on to the longest but most satisfying part, the finishing touches: shearing the work, applying a textile backing, brushing, and retouching.
This artisanal technique allows for infinite freedom in shapes, colors, and sizes. From XXL rugs to small decorative pieces, each creation can be fully customized to suit a unique desire.
A tufted rug or piece requires little maintenance, but a few simple steps can help preserve it over time:
-
Dust regularly with a low-power vacuum cleaner or soft brush.
-
Avoid excessive humidity which could deteriorate the glue on the back.
-
Spot clean in case of stain with a damp cloth and mild soap, without rubbing too much.
-
Do not expose to direct sunlight to avoid discoloration of natural fibers.
-
Avoid placing the rug on the floor in a place where there is constant traffic, especially when
wearing shoes.
Each piece is designed to last, and with a little care, it can beautify an interior for many years.

Hand embroidery :
A SLOW AND PRECISE ART
Hand embroidery requires time and patience. Each stitch is done with a needle, creating a unique relief that captures the light differently depending on the viewing angle. Unlike tufting, embroidery is a technique I keep for smaller formats, allowing for more detailed and refined work. Each piece is a parenthesis of meticulousness, a work where each thread tells a story.

Leather is a noble material that requires careful crafting. Each seam, each cut, and each finish requires careful attention. It's a technique I deeply love and continue to explore with passion. Today, I offer limited edition creations, and I hope to one day develop a whole range of leather accessories, entirely handmade, with meticulous finishes and a timeless design.

ANCESTRAL KNOW-HOW
A Project That Evolves With
Time
Cœur d'Aiguilles is much more than a creative workshop ; it's a personal expression and a quest for balance. Currently, this adventure takes up all my free time, aside from the days I spend with my child.
Even though my role as a father is my top priority, I put as much energy and passion into it as possible. For me, creating is a catharsis, a way to express not only my inspirations and values, but also the immense joy that fatherhood has brought me. Each piece I create is a mark of this adventure, a fusion of my emotions, my know-how, and my vision of the world.
